HUNTING ALMANAC(P758)

This unique calendar was published in East Germany in 1968. It is based on the hunting theme and the motifs were culled from the "Jagdbuch des Herzogs Johann Casimir von Sachsen-Coburg" (The hunting book of Duke Johann Casimir of Saxe-Coburg).This work was created in the time from 1639 to l646. Credit for it is given to Bayreuth painter Wolfgang Birckner (born about 1580). From the total of 39 foolscap-size sheets, partly in body colours, partly in water colours, the following were chosen for the present calendar:
